U.S. lewat ‘70an seangkatan dengan bands macam The Germs, The Weirdos,
The Bags, The Dils, The Avengers dan Black Flag. Kau boleh tengok
footage dari tahun-tahun awal X dan L.A. punk scene dalam filem
dokumentari “The Decline of Western Civilization”. 7” EP pertama X
keluar tahun 1978 atas legendary punk label Dangerhouse Records. Album
pertama X bertajuk “Los Angeles” pulak diterbitkan oleh Ray Manzarek
dari The Doors yang kata X dia punya favourite L.A. band. X siap rakam
satu lagu cover The Doors dalam LP ni.
