D.R.I. Dealing With It (1985)

Anyway, album Dealing With It ni boleh kata album paling laju la zaman tu. Dia punya drum memang superfast walaupun tak macam grindcore. Intensity, memang sampai nak meletup kepala. Zaman remaja. Apa-apa je yang rebellious, memang itu yang cepat masuk. Ini album paling rebel la pada aku time tu.

Specialnya tentang D.R.I. ialah diorang ni satu band yang campurkan Metal dengan Hardcore. Itu yang dinamakan sebagai crossover, which later become a title to the next album after this. Tapi masa ni, aku rasa masih lagi more Hardcore than crossover. Mungkin banyak influence punk dari Metal, which I liked.

Intensenya album ni menyebabkan lagu-lagu yang dimasukkan semua tak lepas 3 minit (kecuali 2 lagu). Rakaman raw gila. Macam garage bands.

Then, masa tour Crossover depa rilis video, Live At The Ritz. Feveret aku gak. First time tengok orang dok pogo dan slamdive dari stage. Klip kat atas diambil dari video tu dan lagu feveret aku dari Dealing With It; Madman dan Couch Slouch. Lirik Madman kelakar… Dalam intro lagu Madman, kononnya bapak dia marah la bising-bising praktis. Kutuk depa ni patut pi sekolah belajar jadi macam budak-budak biasa. Dia balik kijer, nak rehat, penat bukan nak dengar depa memekak. So budak-budak ni pun kata OK la. Bila tutup pintu je terus masuk lagu… kelakar.
