MEGADETH Skin O My Teeth boxset + boardgame

“Skin o’ My Teeth” is the third single from Megadeth’s multi-platinum album Countdown to Extinction. The song, written by Dave Mustaine deals with the theme of suicide and the failure of reaching that goal. Mustaine once said that “This song is about how many times I’ve tried to kill myself but just couldn’t get the fuckin’ job done.”

It’s one of the fastest songs of the album, with a pace of 196 bpm. – wikipedia

Ni EP spesel sikit. Ada 4 versi kesemuanya. Dua CD singles, satu 7″ dan satu 12″. Ianya datang sekali dengan boxset untuk simpan semua tu. Bestest, ada boardgame sekali dalam tu. Aku beli from eBay ada sorang seller tu jual boxset ni tapi tanpa 7″. So aku kena tunggun somebody untuk letak 7″ ni for sale. Aku rasa lepas sebulan baru ada sorang letak 7″ ni for auction. Tanpa membuang masa (tapi buang duit), aku pun bid sampai menang.

Each of the CDs, 7″ dan 12″ tu datang dengan materials untuk melengkapkan boardgame Megadeth ni. So kalau ada 1 CD je, tak cukup le nak main.

Ni some quotes yang aku tarik dari The Realms of Death. Hehehe… tengok Abang Mus punya statement. Kejap gitu kejap gini…

“MTV flipped when they saw the lyrics to ‘Skin O’My Teeth’ because they thought I was promoting committing suicide. It has taken us a long enough time to get our relationship politically correct with MTV. So I don’t want to go out and film a video about a song that they are going to look at and say, ‘You’re nuts.’ and if they say, ‘Hey Dave, we’re going to play your song, as radical as it is, but you have to go on there and say the song is not about suicide,’ I’ll say it. ‘Hey, this song is not about suicide’.” (Mustaine, 1992)

You’ve got to love those contradictory explanations.

“This was a fun video to make. We played live at this raging little club in Chicago called the Metro. The video crew were a bunch of maniacs running around the stage like little rodents. It was hard not to laugh as these crazy guys kept getting in our way.” (Friedman, 2002)

Secara peribodi, gua memang minat habis lagu Skin ni. Siap cari chording gitar lagi. Dapat lak tu (macam betul je chordingnya hehehe). Lagunya agak rockish tapi di’speed’kan Abang Mus style.
