This is the album where BATHORY decides black metal is enough. Hammerheart was fused with traditional Viking folk elements. Basically, this album shaped the future viking metal music. Although this album was not the first since they even say that they took the idea from Manowar.
The song One Rode To Asa Bay was made as an official video that rotated for some time on MTV. You’ll get to see BATHORY as a band in the video. It was the only official music video by BATHORY. I think the video should be expanded as a full blown movie.
This version is the 2-LP orange coloured records reissued and remastered in 2010 by Black Mark Records.
