If I can put it in one sentence, it would be like this – Soothing dreamy and spacey electropop led by boy-girl duet. Even though nothing is new here but reviving some of the trend of the yesteryear’s with a bit of spice – distorted synth and some really good production – does make a difference. The distorted synth sounds like NIN and THE CARDIGANS’ Gran Turisomo while the vocals – the boy resembles a bit of Simon LeBon relaxed and the girl just graduated off 12th grade with android intonation. This is probably a science fiction soundtrack yet there are nothing chaotic here, everything is in place like a well-groomed garden in our little backyard. For some chance this New Zealanders made a huge impact in the country – debuting at no 1 and now touring over the world. A nice addition to the list of electropop, to say the least.
